Don't forget your favorite attorney on their birthdays and on holidays!

Several days before all major holidays, fax a bar grievance against them. They always file motions against you before holidays. Why not return the favor.

Also don't forget your favorite attorney on weekends. Faxing a bar grievance on Friday morning should ensure thet they receive your bar grievance before the weekend and they will be thinking about you all weekend.

Most states use the American Bar Association Standard Rules of Professional Conduct.

Some states have a preamble to the rules, which gives you more violations to change them with.

The Rules of Professional Conduct are broken up into different categories.

Some folk will bar grieve every attorney in a firm or district attorney's office for failing to restrain the violating attorney.

If the violating attorney is not a partner, bar grieve every partner in the firm for failing to properly supervise the violating attorney.

Most states have a form to use. Other states you can do a bar grievance as a letter.

Fill in your information and information about the attorney.

There is a section to tell your story. Make sure you list each of the Rules of Professional Conduct that the attorney violated.

On each bar grievance, only put one bad thing the attorney did. Each bad thing hte attorney does will probably violate several of the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Once you file a bar grievance, they become secret until the bar decides to prosecute the attorney.

If an attorney or anyon else complains or asks you if you filed a bar grievance against him, call 911 and ask that the attorney be arrested for witness intimidation for failure to keep the bar grievance secret.

Most common Rules of Professional Conduct that are violated.

 1.1   Competence - If you are filing a bar grievance, they violated this rule.
 1.3   Diligence - Did the attorney act with reasonable diligence and promptness?
 1.4   Communications - Did the attorney promptly inform you of any decision or circumstance; reasonably consult with you about the means by which your objectives are to be accomplished; keep you reasonably informed about the status of the matter; promptly comply with reasonable requests for information; and consult with you about any relevant limitation on the attorney's conduct?
 1.5   Fees - Did the attorney not make an agreement for, charge, or collect an unreasonable fee or an unreasonable amount for expenses?
 1.6   Confidentiality of Information - Did the attorney reveal information?
 1.7   Conflict of Interest: Current Clients - Did the attorney epresent a client if the representation involves a concurrent conflict of interest?
 1.9   Duties to Former Clients - Did the attorney who has formerly represented a client in a matter shall not thereafter represent another person in the same or a substantially related matter in which that person's interests are materially adverse to the interests of the former client unless the former client gives informed consent, confirmed in writing
 1.15   Safekeeping Property - Did the attorney hold funds and were the funds kept in a separate account?
Did the attorney upon receiving funds or other property in which you or a third person has an interest, an attorney shall promptly notify you or the third person?

 3.1   Meritorious Claims and Contentions - Did the attorney bring or defend a proceeding, or assert or controvert an issue therein, without a basis in law and fact for doing so that is frivolous?
 3.2   Expediting Litigation - Did the attorney cause delays or fail to expedite litigation?
 3.3   Candor toward the Tribunal - Did the attorney make a false statement of fact or law to a court or fail to correct a false statement of material fact or law previously made to the court by the attorney; or fail to disclose to the court legal authority in the controlling jurisdiction known to the attorney to be directly adverse to the position of you and not disclosed by opposing counsel; or offer evidence that the attorney knows to be false?
 3.4   Fairness to Opposing Party and Counsel - Did the attorney obstruct another party' s access to evidence or unlawfully alter, destroy or conceal a document or other material having potential evidentiary value; falsify evidence, counsel or assist a witness to testify falsely, or offer an inducement to a witness that is prohibited by law; knowingly disobey an obligation under the rules; make a frivolous discovery request or fail to make reasonably diligent effort to comply with a legally proper discovery request?

 4.1   Truthfulness in Statements to Others - Did the attorney make a false statement of material fact or law to a third person; or fail to disclose a material fact to a third person?
 4.3   Dealing with Unrepresented Person - If you don't have an attorney, did an attorney contact you and state or imply that an attorney is not interested when they were?
 4.4   Respect for Rights of Third Persons - Did the attorney use means that have no substantial purpose other than to embarrass, delay, or burden someone else?

 5.1   Responsibilities of a Partner or Supervisory Lawyer - Did the attorney who individually or together with other attorney's possesses comparable managerial authority in a law firm, shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that the firm has in effect measures giving reasonable assurance that all attorneys in the firm conform to the Rules of Professional Conduct?

 8.3   Reporting Professional Misconduct - Did the attorney who knows that another attorney has committed a violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct file a bar grievance on that attorney?

When you search an attorney on the state attorney search website, it will show if the attorney has other bar grievances.

If an attorney violated the Rules of Professional Conduct in a courtroom and you have waited a few weeks before checking, and you do not see where the judge filed a bar grievance, you can assume the judge violated rule 8.3 and the judicial canons. File a bar grievance also on the judge for shielding the attorney.
